The effectiveness of a counseling program based on violence alternatives in reducing the psychopathic tendency among the adolescents in the old city of Hebron.

This study aimed to investigate the effect of a program based on violence alternatives in reducing the psychopathic tendency among a sample of adolescents in the Old City of Hebron, and to identify the effect of the academic average, gender, and economic level on the psychopathic tendency. The population consists of all adolescents in the Old City (1238) adolescents. (100) adolescents who were randomly divided into (50) for the experimental group and (50) for the control group participated in the study. The Levenson Scale for Psychopathy Tendency, and the alternatives of violence program was applied to the experimental group. The results showed differences in the pretest and posttest on the Psychopathy Tendency Scale. The study also showed no differences in the psychopathic tendency between the control and experimental groups on the pretests measurement. But there were differences in the posttest in favor of the experimental group. Moreover, there were no differences in the psychopathic tendency due to gender, academic average, and the financial situation of the family. The study concluded a set of recommendations, such as the activation of violence alternatives which would reduce degrees of violence among adolescents. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على أثر فعالية برنامج مبني على بدائل العنف في خفض الميل للسيكوباتية لدى عينة من المراهقين في البلدية القديمة في مدينة الخليل، والتعرف على أثر كل من المعدل التراكمي، والجنس، والمستوى الاقتصادي على الميل للسيكوباتية لدى عينة من المراهقين في البلدة القديمة، واستخدم المنهج شبه التجريبي )تصميم المجموعتين(، وتكون مجتمع الدراسة من جميع المراهقين في البلدة القديمة البالغ عددهم ) 1238 ( مراهقا ومراهقة، وأجريت الدراسة على عينة مكونة من ) 100 ( مراهقا ومراهقة من طلبة الصف العاشر، تم تقسيمهم لمجموعة تجريبية وأخرى ضابطة، وطبق مقياس ليفينسون للميل للسيكوباتية، وطبق برنامج بدائل العنف المكون من ) 10 ( جلسات على المجموعة التجريبية، وأسفرت الدراسة عن وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا بين المتوسطات الحسابية لأفراد المجموعة التجريبية في القياسين القبلي والبعدي، فيما لم يكن ثمة فروق في متوسطات درجات الميل للسيكوباتية بين المجموعتين )الضابطة/ التجريبية( في القياس القبلي، أما بالنسبة للفروق في متوسطات درجات الميل للسيكوباتية في التطبيق البعدي بين أفراد المجموعتين الضابطة والتجريبية فقد كانت الفروق لصالح المجموعة التجريبية، كما تبين عدم وجود فروق بين متوسطات درجات الميل للسيكوباتية تعزى إلى متغيرات الجنس، والمعدل التراكمي، والوضع الاقتصادي للأسرة، وخلصت الدراسة لمجموعة من التوصيات أهمها تفعيل بدائل العنف التي من شانها أن تخفف درجات العنف لدى المراهقين.
