      The article presents island dishes that promote good health. For more than 20 years, the author has had the pleasure of visiting different islands around the world. He loves the way islanders use their local resources and base their meals around fresh fruits, seafood and avocados, just to name a few. Healthy seniors can be found in islands from the South Pacific to Mexico or the Caribbean. Names of various recipes included in this article are, turkey and black-eyed pea soup; onion and orange salad; sautéed red snapper with mango and pineapple salsa; stuffed avocado with shrimp and papaya.
