Child-to-parent violence in adolescents; a relationship with school violence and cyberbullying. (English)

The objective of this study is to analyze the relationship between child-to-parent violence with school violence and cyberbullying. The sample is made up of 1,587 adolescents aged 12 to 17 from Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. The results show statistically significant relationships between child-to-parent violence and school violence and cyberbullying. Adolescents who carry out severe child-to-parent violence stand out in their averages in direct manifest aggression, indirect relational aggression and cyberbullying compared to adolescents with moderate and absent child-to-parent violence. Regression analyzes reveal that cyberbullying, direct overt aggression, and indirect relational aggression predict child-to-parent violence. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

El objetivo del presente estudio es analizar la relación de la violencia filioparental con la violencia escolar y el ciberacoso. La muestra está conformada por 1,587 adolescentes escolarizados de 12 a 17 años de Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. Los resultados muestran relaciones estadísticamente significativas entre la violencia filioparental y la violencia escolar y el ciberacoso. Los adolescentes que realizan violencia filioparental severa destacan en sus medias en agresión manifiesta directa, agresión relacional indirecta y el ciberacoso en comparación con los adolescentes de violencia filioparental moderada y ausente. Los análisis de regresión revelan que el ciberacoso, la agresión manifiesta directa y la agresión relacional indirecta predicen la violencia filioparental. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
