- Alternate Title:
Development of de novo bladder adenocarcinoma in a patient with a history of low-risk urothelial carcinoma.
- نبذة مختصرة :
Bladder adenocarcinoma is an unusual malignancy (accounting for less than 2% of bladder tumors) that can occur in the bladder either primary or secondary to other organs. Although the primary adenocarcinoma of the bladder originates from the urothelium, it presents a clear glandular phenotype. It is most common in men in the sixth and seventh decades. The most common symptom is hematuria, but in some patients, it presents with symptoms of bladder irritation. Its natural history remains uncertain however it is considered to exhibit aggressive behaviour. It usually develops secondary to chronic blabber irritation in people without a previous history of bladder cancer. De novo development of bladder adenocarcinoma in a patient with a history of low-risk urothelial carcinoma is extremely rare. In this article we present such a case and we review the current literature. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
