FAMILY AND SOCIAL SKILLS: A LOOK AT THE CONSTRUCTION OF PROSOCIAL BEHAVIOR IN ADOLESCENTS ATTENDING SCHOOL IN AN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION IN THE DEPARTMENT OF QUINDÍO-COLOMBIA. (English)

The main objective of this study is to evaluate the determinants of prosocial behavior in adolescents attending school in the department of Quindío, based on the perception of parental practices and social skills. The available evidence points to a specific and causal relationship between the conditions of family dynamics and the formation of social skills for the repertoire of behaviors called prosocial. Quantitative, crosssectional approach. Predictive design. The study will use three scales: brief parental scale for adolescents, prosociality scale for adolescents and social skills scale. The results of this study will allow to broaden the knowledge about the study variables and to propitiate better models of prevention of antisocial behavior. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

El presente estudio tiene como objetivo principal evaluar los determinantes de la conducta prosocial en adolescentes escolarizados del departamento del Quindío, a partir de la percepción de las practicas parentales y de las habilidades sociales. La evidencia disponible apunta a una relación específica y causal, entre las condiciones de las dinámicas familiares y la conformación de habilidades sociales para con el repertorio de conductas, denominadas como prosociales. Enfoque cuantitativo, de corte transversal. Diseño predictivo. El estudio usará tres escalas: escala parental breve para adolescentes, escala de prosocialidad para adolescentes y escala de habilidades sociales. Los resultados de este estudio permitirán ampliar el conocimiento acerca de las variables de estudio y propiciar mejores modelos de prevención de la conducta antisocial. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
