ANALYSIS OF THE FACTORS AFFECTING LABOR SUPPLY OF RETIREES USING NESTED LOGIT MODEL. (English)

Labor supply is influenced from various factors. One of these factors is income. Individuals make choices between spare time and work alternatives depending on income they earn. Some individuals in the labor market who prefer working to leisure participate actively in the labor market. The aim of the study is to analyze the factors affecting full-time or part-time working preferences of retired men using Nested Logit Model. In the study, 2018 "Household Budget Survey" B micro data sets provided by Turkish Statistical Institute are used. The scope of the study consists of retired men aged 52 and over who still work parttime or full-time in the labor market. In the analysis of the labor supply of retirees, it is concluded that in the upper branch variables of pension income, the income of other household members and household size are effective and in the sub-branch in addition to these variables, income received as a result of work, health status and age variables are effective. Emek arzı, birçok faktörlerden etkilenmektedir. Bu faktörlerden biri de gelirdir. Kazanılan gelire bağlı olarak bireyler boş zaman ve çalışma alternatifleri arasında tercihte bulunmaktadırlar. Emek piyasasında yer alan bireylerin bazıları emekli olmalarına rağmen çalışmayı boş zamana tercih etmekte ve emek piyasasında aktif rol almaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, emekli erkeklerin yarı veya tam zamanlı çalışma tercihinde etkili olan faktörleri Nested Logit Model ile analiz etmektir. Çalışmada, Türkiye İstatistik Kurumundan temin edilen 2018 yılı "Hanehalkı Bütçe Anketi" B mikro veri setinden yararlanılmıştır. Çalışmanın kapsamını, 52 ve üstü yaş grubunda yer alan ve emekli olmasına rağmen hala işgücü piyasasında yarı veya tam zamanlı olarak çalışan erkekler oluşturmaktadır. Analizde, emekli bireylerin emek arzında; üst dalda emeklilik geliri, hanedeki diğer bireylerin geliri ve hane büyüklüğü değişkenlerinin alt dalda ise bu değişkenlerin yanı sıra çalışma karşılığı elde edilen gelir, sağlık durumu ve yaş değişkenlerinin etkili olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
