      The purpose of the experiment was to study the effect of different yeast cultures (YC) on the blood indicators and rumen microflora of lactating dairy cows. 64 Holstein cows with similar parity, days in milk and milk yield were selected and randomly divided into four groups with 16 replicates in each group and one cow in each replicate. The cows in each group were fed with basal diet supplemented with 150 g/(head·d) YC1 and 80 g/(head·d) YC2, 100 g/(head·d) YC2 and 40 g/(head·d) YC3 (YC1 group, L-YC2 group, H-YC2 group, YC3 group). The experimental period was 60 d. The results showed that at 30 d, the triglyceride content in H-YC2 group was significantly higher than that in YC1 group and YC3 group (P<0.05). The cholesterol content in H-YC2 group and YC3 group was significantly higher than that in YC1 group (P<0.05). The concentration of insulin-like growth factor-1 in H-YC2 group was significantly lower than that in the other three groups (P<0.05), the content of urea nitrogen was significantly higher than that in the other three groups (P<0.05). The activity of alanine aminotransferase in H-YC2 group was significantly higher than that in L-YC2 group and YC3 group (P<0.05). The relative abundance of Fibrobacter in L-YC2 group was significantly lower than that in H-YC2 group and YC3 group (P<0.05). The relative abundance of cyanobacteria in the H-YC2 group was significantly higher than that in the other three groups (P<0.05). The experiment indicates that different yeast cultures has different effects on blood indicators and rumen microflora of lactating dairy cows. Considering blood indicators and rumen microflora, the effect of YC3 is close to that of YC1, and increasing the amount of YC2 does not produce additional effects. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
