In all of these areas, Thornton and Burgh show that there are opportunities for P4C to evolve, especially, but not only, in relation to Indigenous pedagogies, methodologies, and ways of knowing and living, which currently receive little or no acknowledgment in the P4C curriculum and practice. Part 2 focuses attention on the methodological aspects of P4C, that is, the relationship to the IAPC materials and the development and production of "home-grown" materials, especially when it was determined that the original IAPC curriculum was not suitable for Australian classrooms. For instance, P4C has not become part of the official curriculum in elementary schools or in state teacher education programs. However, critical and creative thinking and ethical understanding are listed as general capabilities, and the Australian curriculum includes references to P4C approaches inside and outside Australia.
