Content and Language Integrated Learning.

Content and language integrated learning (CLIL) describes the educational method of combining the learning a foreign language and learning a new subject. For example, native Spanish speakers might learn chemistry in English, allowing them to master two subjects at the same time. This method puts additional learning and homework demands on the student, but also provides a practical application of new language skills. CLIL also prepares students for higher education in a new language by ensuring that they have the technical and classroom language to fully participate in the classroom.
