Constructive strategies and environmental assessments towards temporariness, circularity and reversibility. (English)

Today architectural design is faced with the complex relationship between time and sustainability. In this perspective, the article reports the results of an articulated research activity, which highlights how the need for a temporary location or use of spaces can be achieved with an appropriate level of environmental sustainability, and only through long-term use of resources during the entire life cycle. The concept of "long-lasting temporariness" is outlined, based on the extension of the life of artefacts and on the reuse/recycling of resources at the end of their life, when the reversibility of construction systems, the circularity of materials, and the life cycle management of material and energy flows assume a paradigmatic role. Il progetto di architettura è chiamato oggi ad affrontare la complessa relazione che lega il tempo alla sostenibilità. In questa prospettiva, l'articolo restituisce gli esiti di un'articolata attività di ricerca dove si evidenzia come l'esigenza di temporaneità di localizzazione o d'uso degli spazi possa essere soddisfatta garantendo al contempo un adeguato livello di sostenibilità ambientale, soltanto facendo riferimento a un impiego durevole delle risorse nell'intero ciclo di vita. Si delinea il concetto di "temporaneità durevole", basato sul prolungamento della vita degli artefatti e sul riutilizzo/riciclo delle risorse a fine vita, all'interno del quale la reversibilità dei sistemi costruttivi, la circolarità dei materiali e la considerazione life cycle dei flussi di materia ed energia assumono un ruolo paradigmatico.
