Geschrieben, publiziert, zitiert: Entwicklung Kieler medizinischer Publikationen von 2015 bis 2019 im Zeichen des Projektes DEAL. (German)

Written, published, cited: development of Kiel medical publications from 2015 to 2019 under the auspices of the DEAL project. (English)

Scientific output and scholarly content in general at the medical department of Kiel University is considered on the basis of open access publishing strategies. Since most of the scholarly output has already been published, bibliographic data of the branch library of the faculty of medicine are collected and analysed. The central question is whether the scholarly content can be published in open access pathways especially those of the Institutional Open Access Repository of Kiel University MACAU. For this purpose, corresponding authors had to be identified for each publication as they hold potential copyright. Taking into consideration that corresponding authors affiliated with Kiel University hold the copyright, the collected bibliographic data represent editions for which copyright is held by Kiel University Medical Faculty and Kiel University Hospital UKSH. A closer look at the data considered the publishers and citation rates of the scientific content. The citation data of the publications was monitored over a period of 5 years and correlated to measures taken in the DEAL project. Further analysis of the data raised the question whether the DEAL project and the boycott of Elsevier's products had influence on which publishers scientists of Kiel University chose and how often the publications were cited between 2015 and 2019. Anlässlich eines Projektes zum Zweitverwertungsrecht wurde auf die Publikationsdaten der Medizinischen Fakultät der Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel zugegriffen und diese analysiert. Im Fokus des Projekts zum Zweitverwertungsrecht standen die Ermittlung der korrespondenzführenden Autoren und die Prüfung der Möglichkeit, Publikationen in das OA-Hochschulschriften-Repositorium der Universitätsbibliothek Kiel (MACAU) einzustellen. Ausgehend von der Annahme, dass die korrespondenzführenden Autoren das Urheberrecht innehaben, umfasst der ermittelte Datenbestand alle Publikationen, deren Urheberschaft bei der Medizinischen Fakultät der Christian-Albrechts-Universität und dem Universitätsklinikum Schleswig-Holstein liegen. Im erweiterten Ansatz wurden im Datenbestand die Verlagszugehörigkeit und Zitationshäufigkeit der Publikationen ermittelt, um deren Entwicklung dann über einen 5-Jahresverlauf zu beobachten und in einen Kontext zu den Maßnahmen im Projekt DEAL zu stellen. Bei der erweiterten Datenanalyse stand folgende Fragestellung im Fokus: Hatten das DEAL-Projekt und der Elsevier-Boykott Einfluss auf das Publikationsverhalten Kieler Wissenschaftler*innen hinsichtlich Verlagswahl und Zitierhäufigkeit im Zeitrahmen 2015 bis 2019?
