THE BENEFITS OF THE KANGAROO METHOD AND THE NURSING ASSISTANCE.

The main objective of this article is to conduct an integrative literature search, pointing out the gains obtained by implementing the kangaroo method in premature newborns, highlighting the nurse's performance and its relevance during this process. The method used was to perform a research of articles related to the theme, reading and analysis of the obtained data. With the kangaroo method of premature babies, they are more developed and, in less time, compared to those who do not receive this care. We concluded that the method studied has benefits in several areas of child development and because this method does not require complex infrastructure and is easy to apply, it is essential to implement it in treatment units for preterm infants. Esse artigo tem como principal objetivo realizar uma pesquisa integrativa da literatura, apontando os ganhos que se obtém ao implantar o método canguru em recém-nascidos prematuros, evidenciando a atuação do enfermeiro e sua relevância durante esse processo. O método utilizado foi a realização de uma pesquisa de artigos relacionados ao tema, leitura e análise dos dados obtidos. Com o método canguru dos bebês prematuros apresentam mais desenvolvimento e em menos tempo comparados aos que não recebem esse cuidado. Concluiuse que o método estudado apresenta benefícios em diversas áreas do desenvolvimento da criança e por se tratar de um método que não exige complexa infraestrutura e ser de fácil aplicação, torna-se imprescindível a implantação deste, em unidades de tratamento para prematuros.
