      An introduction to a series of articles published within the issue which discussed the role played by artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics in reshaping the dynamics of learning, including one by Sdenka Zobeida Salas-Pilco on the use of AI and robotics in learning design, another by Geng Sun et al which leveraged AI to empower the adaptiveness of learning resource delivery in micro open learning situations, and by Josef Guggem et on the attitude of college students towards social robots.
