EATING DISORDERS BEHAVIOURS: THE RELIABILITY STUDY OF THE PORTUGUESE VERSION OF A SELF ADMINISTERED QUESTIONNAIRE.

The article presents information about a study, conducted to evaluate the reliability of the Portuguese version of Eating Attitude Test (EAT) 26 and the Bulimic Investigatory Test of Edinburgh (BITE) questionnaires related to eating disorders. A test-retest design was used as part of a pilot test conducted in a sample of 60 female public high school students in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was used twice with an interval of 10 days. The main results showed that the reliability of EAT 26, BITE and the question on self perception of body weight was almost perfect. Reliability of family influence and frequency of reading of diet articles was substantial.
