Social Isolation and its Relationship to Mental Disorders and Physical Diseases among Elderly Women in the Social Care House in Madinah.

هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن مستوى العزلة الاجتماعية وعلاقتها بالاضطرابات النفسية والأمراض الجسمية لدى المسنات بدار الرعاية الاجتماعية، تكونت عينة البحث من ) 25 ( مسنة واستخدم المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، تم تطبيق مقياس العزلة الاجتماعية من إعداد الباحثة واستخدام قائمة الاضطرابات النفسية والأمراض الجسمية بدار الرعاية الاجتماعية. وخلصت الدراسة إلى مجموعة من النتائج كان من أهمها: وجود مستوى مرتقع من العزلة الاجتماعية، ووجود فروق بين العزلة الاجتماعية وأعراض الاضطرابات النفسية، وجود فروق بين العزلة الاجتماعية والأمراض الجسمية لدى المسنات بدار الرعاية الاجتماعية. The study aimed to reveal the level of social isolation and its relationship to mental disorders and physical diseases among elderly women in the social care home, the research sample consisted of (25) elderly women and used the descriptive analytical approach, a measure of social isolation was applied by the researcher and the use of the list of mental disorders and physical diseases in the social care home. The study concluded a set of results, the most important of which were: the presence of a high level of social isolation, the presence of differences between social isolation and symptoms of mental disorders, and the presence of differences between social isolation and physical illnesses among older women in the social care home.
