It is a fact that the text is not an independent structure, each text is the result of an interaction and the texts are influenced by the texts before them, or they affect the texts after them. This interaction brings to mind the concept of intertextuality. The concept of intertextuality is a kind of conversation or information exchange between two texts. In general terms, the concept can be perceived as rewriting. A writer rewrites the pieces from the text of another writer by fusing them in the context of their own text. In this study, the poetry, Han Duvarlari by Faruk Nafiz Çamlibel, who is in the literary group known as 'Bes Hececiler' and the story Arabaci Ali by Memduh Sevket Esendal, which presents a section from the period of national struggle, was examined and evaluated with a descriptive survey model in terms of intertextual relations. The short story is the closest literary genre to the poetry with its features such as having a simple plot, effective use of language, and a single and intense effect. As a result of the study, it was detected that the story and poetry have rich content in terms of intertextuality and include related issues and references.
