ADAPTATION OF A MODIFIED TURKISH VERSION OF BIOETHICAL VALUES QUESTIONNAIRE (BVQ).

The Bioethical Values Questionnaire was created for investigation of conceptions about bioethical values inherent to the scientific activity. This was an adaptation study that focused on using a Turkish version of Bioethical Values Questionnaire developed by Silva, Araujo, Carvalho and Caldera. The subjects of the research consisted of 420 pre service teachers from one of the government university in Turkey. After the application of a factor analysis, it was determined that unlike the original scale, the questionnaire applied to preservice teachers showed a four factor structure and consisted 18 items. It is believed that the instrument will serve as a valuable tool for researchers in science education. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
