Activité antifongique de l'huile essentielle extraite à partir des feuilles de Citrus reticulata.

The Skikda region (northeastern Algeria) is a citrus-growing region with a large citrus area. The recovery of the size waste (leaves) can constitute a source of plant material very exploitable as biofungicide by the agricultural sector. The antifungal activity of the essential oils of Mandarin leaves (Citrus reticulata) was evaluated with respect to: Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. albedinis and Alternaria sp. by the direct contact method. Extraction of the essential oil was carried out by hydrodistillation and molecular characterization by GC/MS. The essential oil shows a great inhibitory power of mycelial growth (in vitro). Limonene (32.04 %) and γ-Terpinene (25.52 %) have the most important inhibitory powers. The results obtained pave the way for the use of leaves essential oil of Citrus reticulata as an alternative to chemical fungicides. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

La région de Skikda (nord est algérien) est une région à vocation agrumicole dont les agrumes occupent une importante superficie. La valorisation des déchets de taille (feuilles) peut constituer une source en matériel végétal très exploitable comme biofongicide par le secteur agricole. L'activité antifongique des huiles essentielles des feuilles de Mandarine (Citrus reticulata) a été évaluée vis-à-vis de: Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. albedinis et Alternaria sp. par la méthode de contact direct. L'extraction de l'huile essentielle a été réalisée par hydrodistillation et la caractérisation moléculaire par CG/SM. L'huile essentielle montrent un grand pouvoir inhibiteur de la croissance mycélienne (in vitro). Le Limonène (32,04 %) et le γ-Terpinène (25,52 %) possèdent les pouvoirs inhibiteurs les plus importants. Les résultats obtenus ouvrent la voie à l'utilisation de l'huile essentielle des feuilles de Citrus reticulata comme alternative aux fongicides chimiques. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
