The Comparison of the Teaching Service Quality Provided in the Faculties of Education in Terms of Satisfaction Levels of Students.

      Students form the most important data source for making decisions on designing, planning, implementation, evaluation and revision of the teaching activities carried out in educational institutions. Because the recipient of all the services provided in the teaching process is student. Therefore, the information obtained from students is becoming more important. The aim of this study is to compare the satisfaction levels of the students, who are studying at the education faculties of two universities that are randomly chosen from the medium-sized universities, in terms of the teaching service quality. Survey method was used in the study. The population of the study consisted of the students of Education Faculties of the Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University and Kırşehir Ahi Evran University. The sample of the study consisted of a total of 782 student, including 449 students from the Faculty of Education of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University and 333 students from the Faculty of Education of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University. The data were collected by the Teaching Service Quality Scale developed by the researcher. The reliability coefficient of the scale used in the study was (r = ,85) and the internal consistency coefficient was calculated as (r = ,87). The data obtained from the research were uploaded to the computer and analyzed in the statistical package program. The result of the study was examined comparativeley by determining the satisfaction levels of the students in terms of the teaching services provided in the relevant universities. As a result of the comparison, it was determined that there was a significant difference in favor of the students of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University in terms of the satisfaction level in the dimensions of ''physical and technical equipment'', ''promoting success in teaching'', ''process-based evaluation'', while there was a significant difference in favor of the students of Kırşehir Ahi Evran University in terms of the satisfaction level in the dimensions of ''teaching environment'', ''teaching coherence'', and ''general satisfaction''. There was no significant difference between the students of the relevant faculties of education related to the ''currency of teaching''. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
