The Effectiveness of the Transformational Learning Model on The Critical Thinking Tendency and on the Meta-Cognitive Awareness of the Students in the 6^th Grade Science Course. (English)

Dönüşümsel Öğrenme Modelinin 6. Sınıf Fen Bilimleri Dersinde Öğrencilerin Eleştirel Düşünme Eğilimlerine ve Bilişötesi Farkındalıklarına Etkisi. (Turkish)

The main purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the effectiveness of the transformational learning model on the critical thinking tendency and on the meta-cognitive awareness of the students in the 6th grade science course. The study group of this research was selected as a Secondary School, which is a public school in the district of Güngören in Istanbul. The California Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory (CCTDI), the Cognitive Awareness Scale, the semi-structured interview form and student diaries are the data collection tools of the research using the dominant-less dominant mixed method. In the study, parametric tests were used to analyze data for which the distribution was normal; descriptive and content analysis methods were used in the analysis of the data obtained in the semi-structured interview form, and citations were also made through the document review. As a result of research It has been seen that the activities of transformational learning model have given students the habit of conducting research from different sources. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, dönüşümsel öğrenme modelinin 6. sınıf fen bilimleri dersinde öğrencilerin eleştirel düşünme eğilimlerine ve biliş ötesi farkındalıklarına etkisini belirlemektir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, İstanbul ili Güngören ilçesindeki bir ortaokulun 6/F ve 6/H sınıflarında okuyan 60 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Baskın-az baskın karma yöntemin kullanıldığı araştırmanın veri toplama aracı, California Eleştirel Düşünme Eğilimi Ölçeği, Bilişötesi Farkındalık Ölçeği, yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ve öğrenci günlükleridir. Araştırmada verilerin analizi için dağılımın normal olduğu maddelerde parametrik testler; yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formunda elde edilen verilerin analizinde betimsel ve içerik analiz yöntemleri kullanılmış, doküman incelemesi yolu ile de alıntılar yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda dönüşümsel öğrenme modeli etkinliklerinin öğrencilere, farklı kaynaklardan araştırma yapma alışkanlığı kazandırdığı görülmüştür. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
