Treatment of cultural contents in SFL: approaches to the design of didactic material. (English)

This article encapsulates a research that sought to analyze the treatment of cultural content and its impact on the development of the Intercultural Communicative Competence in teaching materials designed by teachers in training in Spanish as a Foreign Language. With such aim, a documentary research was carried out, supported by the analysis of the contents of 32 didactic units. This analysis was executed through a check list and three classification matrixes designed under the procedural base set out by the Curricular Plan of the Cervantes Institute and the European Common Framework of Reference for Languages regarding the methodological orientations and the training objectives of an intercultural learner-speaker. The findings reveal a vision of culture that ignores the interdependent relationship between culture and language, and that responds to a hierarchy between the cultured, the exotic and the marginal, preventing a design of material that is in line with the current contexts of international mobility and the need to reconfigure the cultural identity that these bring with them. El presente artículo recoge una investigación que buscó analizar el tratamiento de los contenidos culturales y su incidencia en el desarrollo de la competencia comunicativa intercultural en el material didáctico diseñado por docentes en formación en ELE. Para ello, se realizó un estudio documental sustentado en el análisis de contenido de 32 unidades didácticas; este se ejecutó a través de una lista de chequeo y tres matrices de clasificación diseñadas sobre la base procedimental planteada en el Plan Curricular del Instituto Cervantes y el Marco Común Europeo de Referencia para las lenguas en torno a las orientaciones metodológicas y los objetivos de formación de un aprendiente hablante intercultural. Los hallazgos evidencian una visión de la cultura que ignora la relación interdependiente entre esta y la lengua, y que responde a una jerarquización entre lo culto, lo exótico y lo marginal, impidiendo un diseño de material que esté en consonancia con los contextos actuales de movilidad internacional y la necesidad de re-configuración de la identidad cultural que estos traen consigo.
