This article reports that "La Associación Mexicana de Sociología" held the eighth National Congress of Sociology at the city of Durango, Mexico under the auspices of Juarez University. The Section on Social and Economic Sciences of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) will hold a session for contributed papers its annual meeting of the AAAS in Indianapolis on December 26-31, 1957. Alfred Adler Institute for Individual Psychology will offer a three-year program of thirty evening courses in the theory and practice of individual and group psychotherapy. Qualified trainees will be afforded the opportunity to observe and practice counseling and psychotherapy at the Alfred Adler Consultation Center and Mental Hygiene Clinic, a licensed psychiatric clinic. Psychiatrists, Psychologists and those in related fields are invited to write for applications. Moreover, the U.S. National Science Foundation has announced a grant-in-aid of $51,000 to Dorothy S. Thomas, University of Pennsylvania, for a study of migration differentials. Bertha W. Rubinstein has been given a Certificate of Merit and an Incentive Award for outstanding performance as professional assistant in the social science program of the foundation.
