FAMILY TABLE TALK-AN AREA FOR SOCIOLOGICAL STUDY.

Family table talk is an essential part of the process whereby the family inducts the child into the life of society. Three aspects of this process are emphasized. (1) The family meal is the family at its ease, holding its members together and repeating many features of its life. (2) Family table talk is a form of family interaction, important in the development of personality traits.
