Reality Bites.

The article focuses on the story of "eco warrior" Timothy Treadwell who claimed to understand brown bears and what was best for them and ultimately concludes with the moral that little understanding of wild animals can be a dangerous thing. As the story is told, Treadwell spent from June to October of each year alone on the Alaska peninsula without fire or any means of self defense and placed himself there as the self anointed custodian of brown bears. None of this was true and in reality Treadwell was mauled to death by a bear.
