      The myth was that fruits such as grapes, apples and cranberries hold the highest levels of antioxidants. But the truth is that antioxidants can be found in a host of foods and in numbers equivalent to fruits and vegetables. Whole grains offer a good supply of the free-radical-quenching nutrients. Recent studies show that levels of anthocyanins per 100-gram serving size of black beans are about 10 times the amount of overall antioxidants in an equivalent serving size of oranges. That's similar to the amount found in an equivalent serving size of grapes, apples and cranberries.
