In this article we study a phenomenon that Koenig called "sound of movement" (Bewegungsfarbe) and had great impact in György Ligeti's music and thought. We also observe a similar phenomenon, belonging to 19th century, at the end of Wagner's Valkyrie. From the Ligeti's statements we make an analysis with regard to place that technology has in his aesthetic. In that respect, we study the technique of micropolyphony as a metaphoric transposition of the techniques developed in the field of electronic music. Finally, we take a fragment of his work Atmosphères as an example of supersaturated polyphony and we emphasize the importance of this technique in the establishment of gradations of the musical material.
