      The article reports that a financial closing on the Barka and Sohar independent water projects (IWPs) is expected by Oman Power & Water Procurement Co. (OPWP) by the end of 2015. It is noted that with an 80:20 debt to equity ratio, the combined project financing is expected to reach 600m dollars. It is stated that an important role in the 1.2bn dollars financing for the Ibri/Sohar IPP is to be undertaken by international banks.
