      A new species' of the genus Abacarus Keifer (Eriophyidae), recorded on Arundo donax L. (Poaceae) in Egypt as Abacarus donacis sp. nov., is. described and illustrated. Additionally rHescribed of two species, Aceria donacis Mohanasundaram, 1983, inhabiting Arundo donax L. (Poaceae) and Aceria bambusae Channabasavanna, 1966, inhabiting Bambusa vulgaris Schrad. ex J.C. Wendl were collected and are new records for the mite fauna of Egypt. These species are vagrants under inner surface of the leaves sheath around stem. A key to the species of Abacarus from Egypt is provided. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
