Water Scarcity: A grave threat to Pakistan.

The authors take a look at the threat of water scarcity in Pakistan. They note that while monsoon rains and the glaciers of the Karakorum and the Himalayas provide free and viable sources of water for Pakistan, the country is projected to face severe water shortage due to human consumption and lack of available irrigation. The authors cite a World Bank report which forecasts Pakistan's water supply to drop from 1,000 cubic meters per capita in 2010 to 800 cubic meters per capita in 2020.
