SORUN TEMELLİ - ÇÖZÜM ODAKLI COĞRAFYA! YÜKSEK LİSANS VE DOKTORA TEZ ÇALIŞMALARI ÜZERİNE BİR İNCELEME. (Turkish)

PROBLEM-BASED AND SOLUTION-ORIENTED GEOGRAPHY! AN ANALYSIS ON MASTER THESIS AND PHD DISSERTATION RESEARCHES. (English)

In this study, completed graduate thesis and dissertations were qualitatively analyzed, as a self-criticism. 266 MA/MS thesis and 62 PhD dissertation, which are completed in Turkey within the scope of Human and Economic Geography, Geography for Turkey and Regional Geography, recorded and accessible at YOK Thesis Center (Higher Education Council), were chosen as sample studies. These researches were investigated through their titles, purposes, research questions, determination of research problems, qualifications of research problems, solutions and bibliography. Results were discussed with problem-based, solution-oriented approach of production of geographic knowledge. 88 percent of researches have no research question. Only 13,5 percent of researches have determination of a problem and proposed solutions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Bir özeleştiri sayılabilecek bu çalışmada, coğrafya alanında gerçekleştirilmiş lisansüstü tezler niteliksel olarak ele alınmıştır. Bu bağlamda, Türkiye'de, Beşeri ve İktisadi Coğrafya, Türkiye Coğrafyası ve Bölgesel Coğrafya Anabilim dalları kapsamında tamamlanmış, YÖK Tez Merkezi'nde yer alan ve erişime açık olan 266 yüksek lisans ve 62 doktora tez araştırması, başlıkları dahil olmak üzere, amaç, araştırma soruları, problem tespiti, sorunların niteliği, çözüm önerileri ve kaynakçaları doğrultusunda incelenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar sorun temelli, çözüm odaklı coğrafi bilgi üretimi yaklaşımı esas alınarak değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmaların, yaklaşık %88'sinde net bir araştırma sorusuna rastlanmamış; yine çalışmaların ancak %13,5'inin sorun tespiti ve çözüm önerileri etrafında örgülendiği gözlemlenmiştir.
