부모 커뮤니케이션이 청소년의 스마트폰 의존도에 미치는 영향 : 자기 통제성의 매개 효과를 중심으로 ; The Influence of Parent Communication on Smartphone Dependency in Adolescents : Focused on the Mediation Effect of Self-Contro

이 연구에서는 청소년의 스마트폰 의존도에 환경 요인인 부모 커뮤니케이션과 개인 요인인 자기 통제성이 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴보았다. 전국에 거주하 는 스마트폰 이용 청소년 1,106명을 대상으로 수집한 자료를 구조방정식 모형으 로 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 자기 통제성이 높을수록 스마트폰 의존도가 낮았다. 또한 어머니 커뮤니케이션과 아버지 커뮤니케이션의 만족도가 높을수록 자기 통제성이 높아졌으며, 어머니 커뮤니케이션보다 아버지 커뮤니케이션이 자기 통제성에 미치는 영향력이 더 컸다. 어머니 커뮤니케이션과 아버지 커뮤니케이 션은 자기 통제성을 매개로 스마트폰 의존도에 유의미한 영향을 주었다. 연구 결 과를 바탕으로 미디어 이용에서 자기 통제성의 영향력, 수평적 관계에서 부모ᐨ 자녀 소통이 지니는 이론적 및 실무적 함의를 논의하였다. This study examined the effects of parent communication as an environmental factor and self-control as an individual difference factor on smartphone dependency in adolescents. Data were collected nationwide from 1106 adolescent smartphone users, and were analyzed by structural equation modeling. As results of this study, the stronger the self-control, the lower the dependency on smartphone. Adolescents satisfaction on their communication with their mothers and fathers positively influenced their self-control respectively. Specifically, adolescents communication with their fathers had stronger effects on their self-control than that with their mothers. Self-control fully mediated the relation between adolescents communication with their parents and smartphone dependency. The theoretical and practical implications of the central role of adolescents self-control in media use were discussed in terms of the present horizontal relationship culture.
