نبذة مختصرة : This study focuses on comparing plyometric training and strength training in improving athletic performance, particularly jump performance and explosive power. Both training methods play a significant role in enhancing physical abilities, yet their relative effectiveness has not been extensively discussed in the literature. The aim of this research is to compare the effects of these two types of training on jump performance and other athletic performance metrics. The methodology used is a systematic review of various relevant studies, collecting data through article searches in Google Scholar and PubMed databases, applying strict inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results show that plyometric training is more effective in increasing explosive strength and jump height, while strength training excels in improving maximal muscle strength. However, the combination of both training methods proved to yield better results, with synergistic effects that enhance both explosive strength and overall physical endurance. In conclusion, combining plyometric and strength training can optimize athletic performance, particularly in sports that require explosive power and endurance, such as basketball and soccer.
