This study examines the impact of the knowledge economy on the sustainability of manufacturing sector growth in Algeria over the period 2000–2023. Using the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) approach, the analysis explores short-and long-run relationships between knowledge economy indicators, manufacturing value added, employment, and CO2 emissions. The Bounds test confirms cointegration across all models. The results indicate that while ICT and human capital support manufacturing performance, weak innovation capacity constrains sustainable industrial development, highlighting the need for knowledge-driven and environmentally responsible industrial policies.
