O ensino religioso na educação pública e o trabalho docente: um estudo no município de Uberlândia/MG a partir da Lei de Diretrizes e Bases 1996/97

A discussão acerca da identidade e do papel do Ensino Religioso na educação pública no Brasil é ponto de debate frequente no cenário da Educação básica do país. Com matrícula facultativa e oferta obrigatória, é parte integrante da formação básica do cidadão. Por vezes, é identificada a partir de arquétipos históricos e culturais que a associam a uma prática pedagógica contrária à laicidade e à diversidade religiosa. O ranço do proselitismo cristão ainda permeia a disciplina, que por vezes foi associada à propagação e a legitimação da fé cristã, em específico, a religiosidade católica. Compreender como essa disciplina se institui e se constitui no cenário educacional brasileiro é a proposta dessa dissertação, a qual pretende discutir sobre as implicações da prática pedagógica dos professores habilitados para lecionar a disciplina, bem como, as Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais as quais orientam as premissas da proposta curricular. O que ensinar? Como ensinar? Quem ensina? Por que ensinar Ensino Religioso? São interrogações que impulsionam essa pesquisa na busca por compreender as perspectivas dessa disciplina em construção. O estudo sustenta-se em leituras e análises de documentos tais como a Constituição Federal de 1988, a Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação n° 9.475/1997, os Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais de 1997 e o Projeto Político Pedagógico Institucional do Municipio de Uberlândia. Almeja-se, especificamente entender como o Ensino Religioso se configura no Município de Uberlândia a partir das premissas exigidas pela legislação nacional e da prática pedagógica dos seus professores e assim desmistificar o caráter confessional e proselitista evidenciando a sua legalidade enquanto disciplina do currículo básico da escola pública brasileira.
The discussion about Religious Education and Identity Formation in public educational systems in basic education are frequent in Brazil. The Religious education discipline forms part of the basic national education it is offered in state schools but it's optional. Sometimes it is identified from historical and cultural archetypes that associate a pedagogical practice contrary to secularism and religious diversity. The influence of Christian proselytism yet permeate the discipline, It had in different historical contexts, was associated with the spread and legitimation of the Christian faith in special, the Catholic religion. This dissertation aims to understanding how this discipline was regulated in the Brazilian educational scenario. Then discusses the implications of the pedagogical practice of teachers qualified to teach the discipline, as well as the law of basic tenets and guidelines of brazilian education (LDB) guide the curriculum. What to teach? How to teach? Who teaches? Why teach Religious Education? Are questions that drive this research in the search for understanding the perspectives of the discipline under construction. The study supports in reading and analysis of documents such as the 1988 Federal Constitution, the law of basic tenets and guidelines of brazilian education No. 9475 of 1997, the National Curriculum Parameters and the Institutional Political-Pedagogical Project. Aims specifically to understand how the Religious Education was configured in Uberlândia from the premises required by brazilian legislation.
