Estas fotografias são compreendidas neste texto enquanto processos comunicacionais de produção de significados em meio às suas construções igualmente contextualizadas. A temática a ser tratada diz respeito ao diálogo destas representações com a proposta de Villa-Lobos para a Educação Musical no contexto do Estado Novo. O objetivo central é relacionar o projeto pan-americano e musicológico liderado por Francisco Curt Lange, intitulado Americanismo Musical, e a difusão da imagem de Heitor Villa-Lobos, em especial de seu projeto educacional de canto orfeônico relacionado ao Estado Novo. Propõe-se um debate em torno do enlaçamento entre a política, a música, a mídia e os interlocutores inseridos dentro da abrangência político/educacional getulista, além da internacionalização da obra e da imagem de Villa-Lobos. Para tal, tornaram-se documentos importantes as cartas trocadas entre Villa-Lobos e o musicólogo teuto-uruguaio, presentes no acervo pessoal e profissional do musicólogo, considerando-as como importantes fontes históricas enquanto construções de relações socioculturais; a análise de recortes de jornais das décadas de 1930 e 1940, presentes no Museu Villa-Lobos; e o estudo da iconografia presente no Boletim Latino-americano de Música, publicado em 1946. Palavras-Chave: Internacionalização; Relações Internacionais; Americanismo musical; pan-americanismo; Educação Musical; Abstract: The purpose of this article is to investigate the role of iconography in the construction of the most varied cultural representations about the music and the image of Villa-Lobos. These photographs are understood in this text as communicational processes of meaning production in the midst of their equally contextualized constructions. The theme to be addressed concerns the dialogue of these representations with Villa-Lobos' proposal for Musical Education in the context of the Estado Novo. The main objective is to relate the Pan American and musicological project led by Francisco Curt Lange, entitled Musical Americanismo, and the diffusion of Heitor Villa-Lobos' image, especially of his educational project related to the Estado Novo. A debate is proposed around the intertwining between politics, music, media and the interlocutors inserted within the Getulist political / educational scope, as well as the internationalization of Villa-Lobos's work and image. For this purpose, the letters exchanged between Villa-Lobos and the Teuto-Uruguayan musicologist, present in the musicologist's personal and professional collection, became important documents, considering them as important historical sources as constructions of sociocultural relations; the analysis of newspaper clippings from the 1930s and 1940s, present at the Villa-Lobos Museum; and the study of iconography present in the Latin American Music Bulletin, published in 1946.
