The Environmental Education proposal delimited here was applied in the municipal pre-school system of Uberlândia - MG, as an alternative to, initially, bring awareness to a group of 18 chidren, aged from 2 to 4 years old, as well as their families regarding the preservation of the natural resources, especially in relation to the themes of Water and Ecological Footprint. This research was carried out through a qualitative approach, using action research as a method, in which the child and the family actively participate as researched and researchers in the entire project. The chidren and their families participated in both the remote teaching modality, due to the pandemic caused by Covid-19, as well as the face- to-face teaching modality. From previous diagnosis of chidren’s Knowledge about the topics covered in the research applied in the investigated group, several pedagogical strategies were adopted: chidren’s educational videos on the themes, storytelling through theater and book reading, music, dance, games and surveys applied in the form of images, all based on action research and with a content-rationalist educational approach. The proposals applied aimed at raising consciousness among chidren and their family members regarding pollution, contamination, water importance and its waste, focusing on its usage in daily activities and diseases related to it.
