Human health: contextual analysis ; A saúde do homem: análise contextual

Objective: to reflect about the contextual aspects of care that a man has with his health. Method: descriptive study, of reflective analysis type. For this, it was used a specific methodology based on the theoretical framework of Hinds, Chaves and Cypress, that qualified the contextual levels in four perspectives: the immediate context, the specific context, the general context and the meta-context. Such a choice was for understanding that the analysis of the contextual dimensions of the phenomenon helps in elucidating the various and interactive aspects that are involved. Results: it was emphasize the man's care with health as immediate context; the conceptions of invulnerability, the specific context; the gender conceptions concerning the general context and the meta-context covers health policies and their focus of attention. Conclusion: a larger view of this phenomenon can assist health professionals in planning effective action and contribute to reducing avoidable aggravations in the male population. Método: estudo descritivo, do tipo análise reflexiva. Para isto, utilizou-se uma metodologia específica embasada no referencial teórico de Hinds, Chaves e Cypress, que qualificam os níveis contextuais em quatro perspectivas: o contexto imediato, o contexto específico, o contexto geral e o metacontexto. Tal escolha deu-se por compreender que a análise das dimensões contextuais do fenômeno auxilia em elucidar os vários e interativos aspectos que o envolvem. Resultados: destacou-se os cuidados do homem com a saúde como contexto imediato; as concepções de invulnerabilidade, contexto específico; as concepções de gênero dizem respeito ao contexto geral e o metacontexto abrange as políticas de saúde e seu foco de atenção.
