El presente trabajo sintetiza algunas alternativas para promover la lectura en estudiantes de diversos contextos educativos a través de la literatura. Se trata de un recorrido que presenta algunas reflexiones sobre la enseñanza de Lengua y Literatura y el rol del docente para la estimulación de esta práctica. Para iniciar, se exponen algunos datos que ubican y contextualizan la situación lectora del Ecuador; luego se analiza el currículo de Lengua y Literatura vigente que explica cuáles son los principales objetivos y metas a conseguir dentro del área. Finalmente, se exponen algunos lineamientos que son ejemplarizados como alternativas de estimulación lectora desde la revisión de criterios, experiencias y tendencias actuales que pueden ser implementadas en el aula. Con esto se sopesa a la literatura como un elemento que desarrolla experiencias significativas de aprendizaje, pero, sobre todo, como una práctica académica fundamental, ya que los parámetros curriculares vigentes posesionan a la lectura en el centro del proceso formativo. ; The present work aims to synthesize some alternatives to promote reading among students from various educational contexts through Literature. It is an exploration that offers reflections on the teaching of the subject of Language and Literature and the role of the teacher in stimulating this practice. To begin, some data are presented to locate and contextualize the reading situation in the country; then, an analysis of the current Language and Literature curriculum is carried out, explaining the main objectives and goals to be achieved within the area. Finally, some guidelines are provided as examples of reading stimulation alternatives based on the review of criteria, experiences, and current trends that can be implemented in the classroom. Through this, Literature is seen as a catalyst for developing meaningful learning experiences, but above all, as a fundamental academic practice, since the current curricular parameters position reading at the core of the educational process.
