نبذة مختصرة : The world is constantly changing, technologies and media enable human beings to innovate every day. As education is the support for all this evolution, we consider that the methodology used by the teacher can enable the individual to continuous growth, through reflection and action, the student inserts himself in this environment and continues the cycle of innovation and creation. The objective of this work is to reflect on the methodologies used by elementary school teachers in the municipal schools of Jardim do Seridó, through a survey mediated by questionnaires, based on a study on the path of active methodologies, based on theorists like Bacich (2018) , Libâneo (1990), Leão (1999), Mesquita (2010), Cavalcante (2019), Martins and Duarte (2010), among others who contributed to a serious and responsible work in its conclusion. We approach the actions of the teachers, within the methodological context and their theoretical knowledge that underpin their work. Through the analysis of the questionnaire, we can perceive the need for continuing education for teachers, as the lack of knowledge generated an ambiguity in the answers, allowing us to conclude that the municipal schools need a deeper study about the training of teachers and their respective actions in the educational context, as theory is not linked to practice and practice does not match their position. In this way, the applied methodologies remain rooted in the context of traditional teaching. ; O mundo está em constante mudança, as tecnologias e as mídias possibilitam o ser humano inovar todos os dias.
