      Objective: to analyze the sociodemographic and health factors associated with the risk of sarcopenia, fear of falling and level of physical activity among older people in the South and Southeast regions of Brazil. Methodology: cross-sectional study carried out with 116 older people. A questionnaire with sociodemographic and health questions, the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), the Falls Efficacy Scale – International (FES-I) and the Strength, Assistance in walking, Rise from a chair, Climb stairs, and Falls (SARC-F) were used. Data was analyzed by means of Pearson’s Chi-square test (p<0.05). Results: there was a higher frequency of older people without risk of sarcopenia and fear of falling, who were physically active, belonging to the age group from 60 to 70 years, with a monthly income above three minimum wages, with a good health perception and who perceived themselves to be in better health than older people of the same age (p<0.05). Conclusion: it is concluded that some sociodemographic factors, such as younger age and higher income, and health factors, such as better health perception, are associated with the risk of sarcopenia, fear of falling and level of physical activity of the older people. ; Objetivo: analisar os fatores sociodemográficos e de saúde associados ao indicativo de sarcopenia, medo de cair e nível de atividade física de idosos da região sul e sudeste do Brasil. Métodos: estudo transversal realizado com 116 idosos. Foi utilizado um questionário com questões sociodemográficas e de saúde, o Questionário Internacional de Atividade Física, a Escala de Eficácia de Quedas e o SARC-f. A análise dos dados foi realizada por meio do teste Qui-quadrado de Pearson (p<0,05). Resultados: percebe-se maior frequência de idosos com ausência de risco de sarcopenia, sem medo de cair e fisicamente ativos na faixa etária de 60 a 70 anos, renda mensal acima de três salários-mínimos, com percepção de saúde boa e que se percebem com saúde melhor do que idosos da mesma idade ...
