      Many students dream with the university, make plans and set goals for their academic lives. However, not always the university education happen in enjoyable and peaceful way how they dream when they left the high school taunting this way sickness and suffering. Although several studies point to a high occurrence of student illness in higher education, are still a small group of researchers who seek investigate how the students behavior before the misfortune situations that they find at the academic path at the university. Thus, this search propose investigate the existence of protective factors and/or stressor factors in the ways of being and being of the students in the graduation courses of the Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora. As a result, we seek to know the factor that can contribute to improve the resilience. It is a qualitative research exploratory and descriptive, having in the focal group its principal strategy of research. When we did the focal group meetings with the students it was possible to realize that the main stressor factors was financial difficulty, city change, academic difficulty, when they start their studies, impossibility to reconcile work and studies, competitiveness and depreciation of the teaching profession. In the other hand the main protective factors to contribute to the resilience was family, friends, be a monitor, search projects, institutional support, feelings of belonging and hope. In addition, the relevance of spirituality in the lives of academics was observed. For the study of these recorded data, we found an especial inspiration in Viktor Frankl's Logotherapy and Existential Analysis theory. ; Muitos estudantes sonham com a universidade, fazem planos e traçam metas para suas vidas acadêmicas.
