COVID19 Litigation: The Role of National and International Courts in Health Crisis Management - Panel Discussion: The interplay between domestic and international laws in pandemic risk management. The panel discussed and compared some of the strategies developed by national governments and international institutions and offered some comparative and critical understanding of the lessons learnt. Issues considered included: What is the relevance of international instruments in national caselaw? To what extent and how have national courts referred to supranational policy documents or international law instruments when balancing fundamental rights and freedoms in the pandemic context? Thirdly, to what extent have governments taken judicial review into account when revising policy acts and refining their responses to the pandemic in its more recent stages?
