The present work is immersed in the context of the contemporary philosophy of science, especially of the semanticist philosophy of the structuralist metatheory. The general objective is the application of the structuralist program in philosophy of science to social sciences, especially sociology. Objectively, the work aims to reestablish the dialogue between the general philosophy of science and the special philosophy developed by scientists concerned with the foundations of their discipline, in this case, trying the influence of the research in the theory according to Robert K. Merton. ; El presente trabajo está inmerso en el contexto de la filosofía contemporánea de la ciencia, en especial de la filosofía semanticista de la Metateoría Estructuralista. El objetivo general es la aplicación del programa estructuralista en filosofía de la ciencia a las ciencias sociales, en especial a la sociología. Objetivamente, el trabajo pretende reestablecer el diálogo entre la filosofía general de la ciencia y la filosofía especial desarrollada por científicos preocupados con los fundamentos de su disciplina, en este caso, tratando del influjo de la investigación sobre la teoría según Robert K. Merton.
