نبذة مختصرة : Abortion is considered a global public health problem, due to the deficiency in care for the group of women that has been growing, and also to the large number of deaths after abortion. In this context, the importance of the role of health professionals in planning and carrying out actions according to the care needs expressed by the adolescents is highlighted, as young people who are not properly oriented often become pregnant again and who know how to abort again. The study is a bibliographic research with a qualitative approach based on data collected electronically by the Virtual Health Library (VHL), in the databases: Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS), Database of Nursing (BDENF), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO). We concluded that several causes lead adolescents to miscarry, but the one that is most evident is the parents' fear of being thrown out of their home or from the social context to which they belong. From this perspective, when starting their sexual life, adolescents need to find an opening within the family to talk about the issues that concern them and, at the appropriate time, with the support of the family, seek professional help to take care of their health and adopt safe measures for prevention of an unplanned pregnancy that could result in a miscarriage. ; El aborto es considerado un problema de salud pública global, debido a la deficiencia en la atención al grupo de mujeres que ha ido creciendo, y también a la gran cantidad de muertes posteriores al aborto.
