Dental Specialty Centers are specialized outpatient clinics and references for primary care. Objective: To evaluate the performance of the Santa Catarina Dental Specialty Centers between 2014 and 2019, considering the National Oral Health Policy. Methodology: Data from the Ambulatory Information System of the Unified Health System and the National Registry of Health Establishments were used to characterize each type of Dental Specialty Center according to the subgroups of dental procedures. The assessments were annual and by health macro-region, using the global target achievement indicator, classified into four categories: poor, regular, good and excellent. Results: The study included 41 Dental Specialty Centers: 51% type I, 42% type II and 7% type III. Periodontics reached the target with the highest percentage of procedures. There was an improvement in performance from 2014 to 2016 and a reduction from 2017 onwards. By macro-region, the regular classification predominated in four, excellent in two and excellent/good in one. Conclusion: The performance of Dental Specialty Centers was unsatisfactory in the macro-regions of Santa Catarina. These results are intended to contribute to the quality of oral health care and assist in the management of dental practices. ; Los Centros de Especialidades Dentales son clínicas ambulatorias especializadas y de referencia para la atención primaria.
