نبذة مختصرة : The central theme of the present dissertation is the reducing emissions conceptual feasibility on the Fernando de Noronha’s Island, based on the replacement of the current combustion dune buggies used in tourism activities by purely electric dune buggies (Battery Electric Vehicles – BEVs) developed with Brazilian technology, whose technological innovation is considered adherent to the issues of Sustainability and territorial development. It aims to characterize the industrialization of all-electric dune buggies with technology dominated in Brazil compared to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which highlights the need for a Territoriality approach together with the issue of Sustainability. It briefly addresses the concepts of Sustainability and Territoriality related to the central theme, as well as presents a summary of the main information about the startup founded by the author to put into practice the idea and enable the industrialization of all-electric dune buggies with Brazilian technology. As for its nature, it is applied research. A qualitative research approach is used, with bibliographic and documentary research procedures, with the purposes of descriptive research. The conclusion of the research shows a significant potential reduction in emissions in the Fernando de Noronha’ Island tourist activities and can achieve a reduction greater than 2 tCO2e/year/buggy (two tons of carbon dioxide equivalent per year, per buggy) only with the transition to electric motorization of vehicles traditionally used on site for ecotourism activities combined with photovoltaic solar Distributed Generation (DG). It also concludes that the area required to produce photovoltaic solar electricity for each all-electric dune buggy runs 70 km/day in Fernando de Noronha is only 12.9 m², which is almost twice the area of the vehicle itself (6.65 m²), which is compatible with the concept of Distributed Generation (GD). The result of this research may contribute to a possible promotion to the development of Brazilian ...
