      Inclusive Education and Special Education in the inclusive perspective raise the appreciation of differences and diversity in the educational field, recognizing the histories, identities and cultures of individuals and groups that have historically been secondary, with a view to a more just and equitable society. In this sense, the article aims to promote awareness of the importance of both for the construction of democratic and inclusive pedagogical practices, materialized in the school curriculum. This is a qualitative research, of the bibliographic type, with theoretical support in Freire (2011, 2015), Mazzotta (2010), Mantoan (2003, 2007, 2011), in educational legislation (BRASIL, 2008, 2009, 2015), among others. Inclusive Education and Special Education in the inclusive perspective converge in an Other Education, directed towards the acceptance of differences and social and cultural diversity in the educational context and towards school democratization, constituting a new school culture, which respects, values and includes otherness. ; La Educación Inclusiva y la Educación Especial en la perspectiva inclusiva plantean la valoración de las diferencias y la diversidad en el campo educativo, reconociendo las historias, identidades y culturas de los individuos y grupos que históricamente han sido secundarios, con miras a una sociedad más justa y equitativa. En ese sentido, el artículo tiene como objetivo promover la conciencia sobre la importancia de ambos para la construcción de prácticas pedagógicas democráticas e inclusivas, materializadas en el currículo escolar. Se trata de una investigación cualitativa, de tipo bibliográfica, con apoyo teórico en Freire (2011, 2015), Mazzotta (2010), Mantoan (2003, 2007, 2011), en la legislación educativa (BRASIL, 2008, 2009, 2015), entre otros.
