This leads us to ask ourselves about a pedagogy that makes it possible to build bridges in the knowledge society with a view to the openmindedness and education flourishing as an efficient response to this world that is redesigned every day. Los avances científicos, las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación (TIC) y el ordenamiento global por Redes, plantean a la humanidad concepciones y realidades nuevas. Lo que nos lleva a preguntarnos por una pedagogía que posibilite tender puentes en la sociedad del conocimiento con miras a que la mentalidad sea abierta y la educación florezca como respuesta eficiente a este mundo que se rediseña todos los días. El presente artículo, sin apartarse del concepto tradicional de educación abierta y a distancia (EAD), desde la historia social, aporta una nueva mirada y una propuesta de pedagogía para la educación abierta en ambientes virtuales de aprendizaje (AVA).
