شاء الخالق جل وعلا ان يكون هذا الإنسان اجتماعياً بطبعه إذ تطلب ذلك ان يتكون الجنس البشري من نوعين متكاملين متلازمين في الإنسانية هما الرجل والمرأة بما شرع لهم من حقوق متبادلة في اليهودية والمسيحية، وذلك فيما يتصل بما كفلته له الشرائع والكتب السماوية من حقوق وضمانات او فرضت عليه واجبات وكلاهما كان الهدف منهما أن تحول دون إهدار آدميته، فأن الدراسات والبحوث التي تناولت أوضاع المرأة تكاد تندر اذا ما قورنت بتلك التي تناولت الرجل فإذا توجهنا تلقاء المرأة يكاد يصدمنا ذلك العدم البحثي الذي نعيشه وتعيشه تلك المرأة. المرأة ذلك المخلوق الذي احتار الفلاسفة في فهمه وتعريفه، فأسراره لا تنقضي,وعجائبه لا تنتهي, وسبر أغواره مُحال، ومن خلال رؤية كل كتاب سماوي للمرأة من احترام وتبجيل وأعلاء قدر وتشريف ومنح حقوق وفرض واجبات او العكس ترتسم لدينا صورتها وما يستتبعه من اكرام او مهانة.
